Backed by Venture Capital funding, Sera-Brynn has developed an innovative “Sentinel Server” that easily integrates into any business’s computer and network systems and reports unauthorized or criminal attempts to break in.
“The common reaction most businesses have to countering potential Cyber threats is hiring more Information Technology security specialists” said Rob Hegedus, Sera-Brynn’s CEO. “Unfortunately, that can be very expensive. Our Sentinel Server takes the place of added security personnel, at a fraction of the cost, by constantly scanning a business’s computer and network systems and reporting if anyone is trying to hack their way in.”

The Cyber threat is growing at an alarming rate. The cost to businesses last year was $114 Billion. That’s more than the global trade of Marijuana, Cocaine and Heroin combined. “We believe that number could reach $150 Billion in 2012” said Hegedus. “More and more criminal elements are focusing their activities on Cyber crime. It’s where the money is.”
The Sentinel Server was also designed to meet industry and government intrusion detection requirements. “If someone breaks into your systems and steals sensitive customer information, and you don’t report it, your business could be liable for fines and restitution fees in the millions of dollars” said John Kipp, Sera-Brynn’s Chief Operating Officer. “You can’t report it if you don’t know about it. The Sentinel Server solves this problem by telling you if your systems are being hacked, and by what attack vector.”
Sera-Brynn security professionals hail from the national intelligence community where they kept the nation’s most sensitive information secure from foreign adversaries. They currently support businesses in the retail, banking, logistics and financial industries.
